The Helena Independents lifted their Legion B baseball record to 22-4, going 6-1 over the past two weeks, outscoring their opponents 46-16. The lone loss came against the Bozeman Spikes A.

A fine defense, solid pitching and quality at-bats up and down the lineup power the Independents.

Eight players batted over .300 during the past four-games, with multiple-RBI games by Gabe Dalbec, Nick Jemmings, Kaden Martinez, Keaten Ralston, Caleb Shamley, Hunter Sickerson and Caeden Suero. Gage Vermillion blasted a one-hopper over the fence against the Butte Muckers A.

Pitchers Tayler Carlson, Riley Chisholm and Keaton Ralston combined for 10 strikeouts in an extra-inning win over Butte, 8-6. In an 11-0 win over Great Falls B, Mark Northey twirled a two-hitter. Helena’s next home game will be July 3 against the Gallatin Valley Posse B.
