2017 Tryouts

Potential American Legion Baseball players and parents,

The following is information you need to know regarding the 2017 American Legion Baseball tryouts:

  1. Optional workouts will be held in February and March leading up to spring tryouts
  2. Tryouts will be held at Kindrick Legion Field in 2017.
    • Returning Senators/Reps Tryouts – All returning Helena Senators and Reps will be participating in tryouts on the dates and times listed below. This is a change from previous dates, so please update your calendars.  Understand if weather is poor or the field is unplayable, we will adjust.
      • March 18 – 11AM-1PM
      • March 19 – 11AM-1PM
      • March 20 – 5PM-7PM
    • Reps/Independent Tryouts
      • April 4 – 5-7PM
      • April 5 – 5-7PM
      • April 6 – 5-7PM
  3. Players should be dressed in baseball pants or sweats, cleats, a long sleeve shirt, and baseball cap. Please bring a sweatshirt or light jacket.

Season Financial Commitment

  1. $250 Uniform Fee
  2. $400 Ticket / Fundraising

Player Time Commitments

  • Primary commitment to baseball during baseball season
  • Camp Absences – Players are allowed up to 5 excused absences (must be communicated and approved by head coach) for athletic camps or other academic/athletic opportunities. During an excused 2 conference games can be missed. Coaches should be notified at least 30 days prior to the absence.
