Tournament Rules

  1. Games will be played by American Legion Baseball rules.
  2. Games will be 7 innings unless extra innings are needed. No game will end in a tie.
  3. Eight run rule applies after 5 innings.
  4. The time limit for each game is 2 hours and 15 minutes. Time will officially start with the first pitch of the game. No new inning can start after 2 hours and 15 minutes unless the game is tied. An inning is considered to have started with the first official pitch of the inning. It is the official scorekeepers responsibility to keep track of time and to report to the umpire when the time has expired.
  5. In the case of a tie after the 2 hours and 15 minute limit, teams will go into a tie-breaker scenario. Each team will start the next inning with a runner on 2nd base and no outs. The runner will be the last batter from the previous inning. There will be no time limit or tie-breaker scenario in the championship game.
  6. The 1B dugout team specified on the schedule will get the batting cage 1.5 hours before game time. The 3B dugout team will get the cage 1 hour before game time. Please honor this arrangement to make sure each team gets cage time.
  7. Home team will be the team occupying the 1B dugout except in the Championship game. #1 seed will be home team.
  8. Infield/outfield will only be allowed if time permits to keep the tournament on schedule.
  9. Ground rules will be explained during the pre-game coaches meeting.
  10. Courtesy runners are optional for the pitcher and catcher only.
  11. Teams will be seeded on Sunday for a championship game

    • Head to head record
    • Least runs allowed (total, not per inning)
