The Helena Reps fell behind early to the Great Falls Chargers A on Tuesday but finished well behind a strong pitching performance from Eamonn Byrne and timely hits, ending on top with a 10-7 win.
In the top of the first, Great Falls grabbed the early lead, 3-0. But Helena answered with six runs in the bottom of fourth with an RBI ground out by Carter Wald, a two-run single by Tanner McMahon, scoring Rob McCarvel and Austin Whitehouse. Byrne and Talon Burchard also each had RBI singles in the inning.
After Great Falls tied it in the fifth 6-6, Helena grabbed the lead for good on RBI singles by McMahon and Ryan Arntson.
Byrne allowed one run over four innings. He struck out three and surrendered only two hits, and was awarded the win by the official scorekeeper.
The win moves the Reps to 8-2 on the season.
