The Helena Reps took a pair of games over the Kalispell Lakers on Saturday, winning 5-1 and 13-6.
In the opener, Riley Chisholm earned the win by shutting down the Kalispell offense, only giving up a run on 3 hits over 5 1/3 innings. Conor McCarvel threw the final inning and two-thirds to earn the save.
Both teams were limited offensively with only 5 hits each, as each pitcher had strong winds aiding them, but Matt Krieger led the Helena offense with a couple of hits and an RBI.
Game two was a much different story, as seven Kalispell errors led to a multitude of Helena base-runners, and only 5 of the Reps 13 runs were earned. Brady Anderson (2B, 4 RBI) and Hunter Sickerson (2 RBI) paced the offense with a pair of hits, while Brady Grigby and Chisholm pitched in 3 and 2 RBI, respectively.
Walter Evans went 4.0 innings to earn the win, and Sickerson pitched 3.0 innings to earn the save.
The sweep moved Coach Jon Burnett’s squad to 6-0 on the season.
