With a 15 hit outburst, the Helena Reps scored early and often to run away with a 14-4 Class A Southern District Conference victory over the Livingston Braves on Saturday.
Carter Wald and Kellan Elder each laced three hits a piece and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Helena offense, and Ty McGurran and Conor McCarvel added two hits each as all nine Helena starters banged out at least one hit. Caeden Suero and Talon Burchard also chipped in with a pair of RBI.
Tayler Carlson went seven innings strong on the mound in his eighth win on the season, allowing one earned run and striking out five. Keaton Ralston struck out the side in the eighth to close out the road victory. The game was shortened to eight innings due to the ten-run rule.
Coach Jon Burnett’s Reps move to 36-13 on the season and 13-5 in conference play. Helena is scheduled to play the Miners in Butte on Sunday in a conference doubleheader starting at 3:00PM.
