The Helena Senators traveled north of the border on Tuesday, where they swept Lethbridge in a late-night Class AA Legion baseball twinbill, 4-2 and 10-3.

Helena took an early 2-0 lead in the curtain-raiser, and stretched the advantage to 4-1 after five stanzas.
Kienan Stief sparked the offense, going 3 for 4 with a double, a stolen base and three RBIs. Ryan Arntson (two runs), Colin Sassano (two runs) and Payton Pappas (RBI) knocked a single and double each.
Tayler Carlson started on the hill and tossed a five-hitter over six innings for the win. He gave up two runs, struck out two and walked two. Closer Andrew Rosston pitched a hitless seventh for the save.
In the nightcap, Lethbridge jumped ahead 3-0 after two innings of play, before the Montanans came back to score one run in the third, six in the fifth and three more in the sixth to go up by seven.
Helena reliever Tanner McMahon took over for starting hurler Carter Pappas in the third and proceeded to shut Lethbridge out over the final five innings. McMahon scattered four hits, struck out six and walked just one.
Tayler Carlson and Ray Moore Jr. spearheaded the Senators’ 10-hit attack, both stroking a single and a double. Carlson posted three RBIs, while Moore scored twice and drove in a run. Colin Sassano went 2 for 2, as well.
