HELENA — Eli Peterson tossed 3.2 hitless innings, wiggled out of a bases loaded jam in the fifth, and picked up his eighth victory in a 5-1 Helena Senators triumph over Bozeman Tuesday.

Peterson struck out three of the contest’s first five batters, flashing a good breaking ball, and scattered four hits and three walks over six innings.

A sliding Aaron Fuzesy catch in right and strike to second base erased a lead-off fourth-inning walk before Bozeman’s Cole Smith supplied the Bucks’ first knock.

An inning later, staked to a 4-0 lead, Peterson struck out Quinn Pershing and induced a Smith fly out to escape.

Perlinski added an RBI single in the home half, part of a two-RBI day, as he joined Colt Tietje with two hits in the victory.

Brayden Beatty reached base three times on Tuesday, drove in a pair, and scored twice.
