Their Class AA American Legion baseball games were originally scheduled for Tuesday, but were rained out.

Helena won both games in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the seventh both times. The Senators won the first game 8-7 and then the second game 6-5.

Zach Spiroff drew a walk to open the bottom of the seventh inning with the Senators down a run in the first agme. Colin Sassano followed with a double to score Spiroff. Sassano moved third on a throwing error.

Connor McCarvel stepped to the plate and hit a line drive down the third-base line to score Sassano for the game-winner.

Three runs were scored in the bottom of the seventh of the second game by the Senators (16-15). Spiroff scored the game-winner on an error by the Kalispell second baseman.

The Senators out-hit the Lakers 13-8 in the first game, but their three errors helped Kalispell make it close. The Lakers scored two runs in the first and the fifth innings, and three runs in the sixth.

Taylor Morton led the way for the Lakers going 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Eric Seaman had two hits and two RBIs. Dawson Smith also drove in two.

Helena used a big inning in the fourth when six runs scored. They strung together eight soft singles and took advantage of a fielding error by the right fielder.

Tayler Carlson started on the mound for the Senators. He battled for 5⅔ innings and left with the score tied at 6. Brett Jacobs finished the game and picked up his fifth win.

Sassano came up big late in the second game with three RBIs and Matt Krieger scored twice.
