2025 Season
If your player has been invited to participate in the 2025 Helena American Legion Baseball Program, see financial commitments below.

Player Fee
The cost of the season will be $1200 for Senators and Reps and $900 for Independents. Each player will be given the opportunity to sell that amount ($1200 or $900) in season tickets to help defer the cost of the program and reduce player fees.

Program Ads
Each player will be required to obtain three (3) $100 program ads in addition to their player fees.

Total financial commitment:

• Senators and Reps: $1200 + 3 $100 Program Ads
• Independents: $900 + 3 $100 Program Ads

Note – we also have an option for parents to opt into a payment plan, the total of which is due by May 1.

2025 Player Time Commitments

• Primary commitment to baseball during baseball season
• The player's primary commitment must be to baseball during the season. Players are allowed excused absences for athletic camps or other academic/athletic opportunities. Players should try to avoid missing conference games. An Absence Request Form must be filled out and submitted to the Head Coach by the second day of tryouts. The request will be either approved or denied prior to the conclusion of tryouts.  Family vacations are not approved absences.  Vacations should be scheduled outside of the baseball season. Penalty for unexcused absences will result in either a suspension or dismissal. Emergency absences will be handled on a case-by-case basis but must be communicated with the Head Coach as soon as possible. Unexcused absences or being tardy from scheduled practices or games will result in a suspension of up to five games. Additional unexcused absences or being tardy will subject the player to removal from the Helena American Legion Program.

March 16-20, 2025 (Tenative schedule and weather permitting)

• 3/16: 1-4 PM
• 3/17-19: 5-7 PM
• 3/20: 4:00 PM (decision day, no gear needed)

Players should be dressed in baseball pants or sweats, cleats, a long sleeve shirt, and baseball cap. Please bring a sweatshirt or light jacket. If weather is poor or the field is unplayable, we will adjust the schedule.  Every player should also bring a pair of tennis shoes.  We have an indoor hitting area and we will make use of it during the tryout process. 

Grades 7-12 are eligible to tryout. If the player has not played a season on the full sized, 90’ bases they can tryout for experience but will not be eligible to make the team.
